PÈPE TALK October 2006 Event Calendar A Food, Wine & Lifestyle Series
Hello Friends,
This month I have scheduled another great PÈPE TALK; and this time we will take a brief trip to Spain “for the evening” and learn the secrets of making PAELLA and learn about Spanish wines. My special guest chef is Kristina Scrivani, a local expert on the art of making paella.
This event, which will be held at my Little Napoli Bistro Italiano in Carmel-by-the-Sea, is scheduled for Thursday, October 12.
PÈPE TALK is meant to be informative, interactive, and fun...but most of all delicious! At PÈPE TALK it’s eat, drink, and be merry...laugh a little and learn a lot. The event (really "party" is a better description) will sell out quickly as space is limited to 20 guests, so if you are interested it is best to reserve early.

I hope to see you there,
 . . . . . . Rich Pèpe

Event Description: PÈPE TALK host Rich Pèpe presents Chef Kristina Scrivani for an evening discovering the secrets of making Paella and enjoying the wines of Spain. Making paella is a very social occasion - perfect for a party. In Spain, families and friends gather outdoors to help cook the paella over an open fire using a specially designed paella grill. While the paella is cooking, guests sit outside sipping sangria or cava (Spanish champagne) and eating tapas (Spanish appetizers).
It is an image we will re-create in the outdoor courtyard of Pèpe’s Little Napoli Bistro Italiano in Carmel-by-the-Sea. After Kristina has finished demonstrating for us the secrets of making paella, we will move into Little Napoli’s Big Night Room for a family-style Paella dinner paired with the perfect Spanish wines, followed by a classic flan for dessert.
