Hello Friends,
This November I have scheduled another interesting PÈPE TALK; and this time, just in time for the holidays. Chefs Kristina Scrivani, Jean Hubert and I will demonstrate how to prepare delicious, yet healthy holiday appetizers all beautifully served on either a spoon, skewer or in a shooter.
This event, which will be held at the “Salud Room” at Whole Foods Market in Monterey, CA, is scheduled for Thursday, November 16.
Also, on Wednesday, November 15th, Chef Jean Hubert and I will also be serving complimentary holiday appetizers at the Villeroy & Boch store in Carmel. Isabelle von Boch will be on hand and host this “open house” event, stop by anytime between 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Selected Villeroy & Boch holiday items will be on sale and 10% of all proceeds will go to the benefit of the Hospice of the Central Coast in Monterey.
PÈPE TALK is meant to be informative, interactive, and fun...but most of all delicious! At PÈPE TALK it’s eat, drink, and be merry...laugh a little and learn a lot.

PÈPE TALK host Rich Pèpe presents an evening of “Spoons, Skewers & Shooters”. Just in time for the party season, Chefs Kristina Scrivani, Jean Hubert and Pèpe will demonstrate a wide variety of ethnic, yet healthy “one-bite” appetizers, all served beautifully on either a spoon, skewer or in a shooter. Appetizers at holiday cocktail parties are a great way for your guests to socialize while eating. In this event you will learn the simple “tricks of the trade” that will please your party guests and will help create a festive atmosphere and a memorable time at your next holiday party. Join us in helping support the Hospice of the Central Coast and meet the one woman who has redefined "Tabletop Entertaining": Isabelle von Boch. Isabelle will share tips on how to accessorize your holiday dining table...keeping it updated, versatile and fashionable with each new season.
"The number one rule in china selection is that there are no rules," says Isabelle von Boch, whose ancestors founded the Germany-based china maker Villeroy & Boch 250 years ago. She advises people to rethink their china policy. "Apply a fashion strategy and develop a dinnerware 'wardrobe,' which begins with the basics, then is accented and accessorized with other patterns, linens, textiles, crystals, candles, and flowers," she says. The concept is to mix and match your dinnerware - pairing solid colors with florals or geometric patterns - rather than opting for traditional place settings all of the same pattern.
